Vikki and Lee were to be married on Saturday 30th May 2015. After changeable weather the week preceding their wedding day, they awoke to find a nice bright May morning and the preparations began. The ceremony was at St Andrews church in Stratton, near Bude and it was there I joined the wedding party.
When Lee arrived at the church, accompanied by his best man Michael or pea head, as he was known to his friends. They began to attach their corsages whilst the ushers took care of the guests. Good job Simon and Gareth.
Vikkis sister Stephanie did a brilliant job as chief bridesmaids and with the flower girls and page boy looked great. Rev Barnes lead the ceremony and then the plan was to head to the Falcon Hotel where Debbie and her team had prepared the wedding breakfast. Whilst the guests enjoyed a glass of bubbly I took the bride and groom to meet their dog and take a walk to the breakwater for some portraits of the couple.
We arrived back to the Falcon and walked up the red carpet to see the cake and the table settings. Everyone was enjoying the sunshine in the gardens with the Wreckers singing their song as we shot the formal photos. Before we knew it, it was time to eat. A lovely spread was provided before the speeches and the cutting of the cake.
Everyone was in fits of laughter with the best mans speech. Their was a brilliant joke about the bride and grooms trip to Wales which had everyone in tears. Pea head had won the crowd and much cheese was eaten with a lovely cup of filtered coffee.
The music started to play and everyone was in the mood to party....
