I have always loved a wedding where people meet at a pub to start the days celebrations and this was no exception. The father of the bride Jason Orchard, landlord of the Old Orchard Inn, Week St Mary had invited everyone for a pint before the ceremony at the church. As soon as I walked in Jason offered me a drink and I accepted with just a half of the local brew, it would of been rude not to.
The Groom Thomas soon arrived with his best man Neil (in the kilt) and brothers Matthew and David who helped with the corsage before being met with a whole pub full of guests. Everyone was having such a great time at the pub that a reminder the ceremony was due to start was definitely needed. Everyone supped up and made their way to the church.
The bride arrived perfectly late and looked stunning in her dress and the ceremony went ahead under a bright sky and with a jovial spirit. After taking a few photos of the wedding party and a photo of all the guests outside the church we headed to the Elements Hotel where the Elements team had prepared the restaurant with immaculate dressing fit for a great feast. The happy couple were met with bag pipes and all the guests gathered on the deck drinking tall glasses of Pims and lemonade.
We took some great photos of all the families and some portraits of the bride and groom with the sea as a great backdrop before everyone sat down in the restaurant. The table settings looked modern and fresh and the cake was decorated with a tractor and sheep as Thomas is a farmer. I said goodbye to the happy couple and wished them all the best as the guests sat down to enjoy their evening meal knowing I had some great photos.
Thank you to all the guests who were such fun and game for a laugh. Congratulations Annabelle and Thomas. Wishing you all the best for your future together. Scott.
