The wedding of Anne-Marie and Peter now Mr and Mrs Godbeer on Saturday 20th June 2015 was a lovely occasion. I had known the Balls (Anne-Maries side of the family) for a while as I had gone to school with her brother Adrian so it was lovely to meet them all at the church rehearsal on the Friday night along with Peter, his family and his best man and ushers who were all staying at the Falcon Hotel just a stroll from the church.
On the morning of the wedding I met the boys at the Hotel where they all got dressed into their smart grey suits, white shirts and lilac cravats. They looked very sharp along with their black kanes and we shot a few pictures in the room looking out to the lovely gardens. Meanwhile Anne-Marie was at her parents house getting there make-up and hair done with the bridesmaids and her mum and dad Janet and David.
Before we knew it it was 12 noon and the cars were waiting to take everyone to the church. Everyone was ready and they jumped into the cars to St Micheals church for the ceremony. After a lovely service by David Barnes - was it the short or long version? We got back in the cars and made our way to the lock gates. We were met with just a little bit of mist and a dash of bright light.
We had a few shots with Anne-Marie and Peters son Jacob and then a few of Bailey the dog driving the wedding car before heading back to the Falcon for the formal shots of the guests in the garden. We dodged the rain a few times but managed to get a lot of the shots and had a bit of laugh doing so. After the receiving line which was great to see the speeches began, a lovely roast for dinner and the cutting of the cake.
It was great to work with a the videographer and together we covered the wedding up the first dance before heading home as the band began to play.
