I packed my photography bag and drove from Bude to Hampshire to shoot Lizzy and Adam's wedding. It was the second time in a week that I was shooting a wedding in the New Forest and I was looking forward to getting there. The scenery makes for a great backdrop for a wedding but the forecast for the day was rain so I came fully prepared with a set of umbrellas and some lights to shoot indoors.
Before going to the house where I was shooting the wedding preparations I went to the wedding venue which was Elmers Court, Hampshire. A lovely venue with some great looking grounds. Because of the weather they were preparing to have the ceremony indoors but the sun was out and it was hard to believe that rain was on the way. The decision was made to have the ceremony outside and everyone kept their fingers crossed.
At the house I met the girls and the Makeup artists who did a great job. They were called Vintage Rouge and were very professional. The day seemed to go so quickly and the weather held out until the late afternoon so we got some lovely shots before everyone sat down for the wedding breakfast. The speeches were very funny and Simon the groom made everyone laugh before cutting the cake. Unfortunately I could not stay to witness the MC Hammer dance by the Groom and his men. I shot the first dance before heading back and left as the rock band started to play. Good luck to you both the new Mr and Mrs Ellis. Wishing you all the best for the future.
